We endeavour to update our rugby betting tips and selections by approximately 10pm at the very latest on the preceding evening of ALL Six Nations, Magners League and Welsh Premiership games aswell as most Heineken Cup and some European Challenge Cup matches. Obviously, not all provincial games will be advised upon. We select the best value betting tips for the most predictable matches, in our opinion, in any given itinerary. Please be aware that occasionally if there are no value bets on offer by the bookmakers, say in a depleted list of fixtures or in adverse and unpredictable weather conditions, then we may advise that your money is best left in your pocket until a more profitable situation arises.
All the latest team news, availabilities and likely tactics are taken into account and compared at length with the available odds from the larger bookmakers in all of the potentially lucrative betting markets - mainly FullTime Handicaps but also Winner, HalfTime/FullTime, Total Points, First Try Scorer, HalfTime Handicap etc.
We ultimately arrive at a betting recommendation which is set to include the element of risk that one expects with any speculation. We grade this risk on a scale of 1-100%. Let us say now that we are extremely unlikely ever to recommend a bet of 100% (as we are 1%). We will advise singles and upwards, each having a % recommendation of likely outcome in our opinion. Remember, accumulators in rugby betting are achieved far more often than in football because of the draw factor...and many times more than in horse racing for obvious reasons. Multiple permutation bets will be few and far between as they are largely regarded as 'bookie bets'. For example, if we have a 5 selection recommendation, the best and most profitable approach is to bet 5 singles at say an average of 70% plus a straight accumulator on all 5 at say, 20%. If we were to advise trebles and 4folds aswell, and we achieved 3 winners from 5, we would actually win with 1 treble from 10 paid for - bookmaker wins 9 unit stakes and pays out on 1 treble. The same applies for 4-folds, there are 5 of them permed in a 5 selection permutation bet, so if we have 4 winners we are still losing 4 unit stakes to the bookmaker, winning just one 4fold. We would now win with 4 trebles out of the 10, but still lose 6 of those precious unit stakes to the bookmaker! Hence the best bets are the ones where you lose fewest unit stakes to the bookie and pick up a nice steady profit. Larger singles and ONE straight accumulator with a lower stake is the answer.
Foremost, we advise a straight accumulator of 5 or more handicap predictions where available. Where we are particularly confident of a certain match or two, we will advise a single, double, treble etc in order of confidence and decreasing stake.
This is all about hitting the bookmaker hard on two or more occasions per season. You will require two things yourself - a betting bank and patience.
